Teachers' Day Celebration

A teacher is the eternal guru and guide whose grooming has shaped generations from time immemorial. To honour the hard work and determination towards the profession, 

Teachers' Day is celebrated throughout India.

HEMA Higher Secondary School organised an event on the occassion of Teacher's Day. The event was held at the school quadrangle. The programme started with a lamp lighting ceremony, followed by various performances by students, like dances, songs, skit. The teachers enjoyed the performances. Saplings were distributed to all the teachers as a token of love. School Principal Ms. Poonam Sharma, appreciated the students' efforts and blessed them. In the end, all the students thanked the teachers for imparting knowledge, wisdom, life skills, not just education in conventional sense. 

As a token of appreciation and motivation salary increment letters were given to the teachers and gifts were distributed for their selfless effort. President Shri Philip Panicker in his speech emphasized on the importance of education in a developing country like India and also emphasized on the role played by teachers in moulding the career of the students.
