Self defence is the most important  tool to protect ourselves from predators who are always waiting for a chance to take undue advantage  for which karate can be used as an effective tool with this very purpose karate is taught in schools to train the young at a very early stage to learn this art of self defence. 

It was indeed a moment  of pride for HEMA Higher Secondary school which added another feather to its cap by winning a platter of medals in the competition held at St Xaviers under the aegis of World  Funakoshi Shotokau Karate Organisation by winning 9 bronze ,2 Silver and 1 Gold.
