INDEPENDENCE
DAY CELEBRATION AT HEMA SCHOOL
The legacy of heroes – the memory of great name, and the inheritance of a
great examples these symbolizes our motherland India. Freedom is not free it is
the blood of our fallen comrades that reminds us of the endless sacrifices of
young men and women who kept aside all the comforts of life and fought for the
freedom of our motherland. Keeping up with the spirit of patriotism,
Independence Day was celebrated at HEMA Hr. Sec. School with zeal and
enthusiasm.
The program started off with the welcoming of the dignitaries by band,
followed by general salute. The National Flag was hoisted by Shri Kishore
Pillai, Secretary HEMA Education Society followed by the national anthem.
The patriotic song sung by the students completely changed the aura
around and pumped our heart with nostalgic feeling for all those martyrs who
sacrificed their lives to free us from the clutches of the britishers.
Smt. Poonam Sharma, Principal in her speech reminded us about the
struggle and unconditional sacrifices of our great leaders and to inculcate
their values in our lives. In her speech she also emphasized on the theme of
Independence Day “NATION FIRST ALWAYS FIRST”. Principal extended her full
support to “HAR GHAR TIRANGA CAMPAIGN” which will certainly increase the sense
of respect and awareness of the Tricolor.
To infuse the sense of patriotism among young minds rendition of Kavita
Path was performed by Kumari Priyanka
Dangi. It filled the atmosphere with love for motherland.
Shri. Kishore Pillai, Secretary HEMA Education society in his
motivational speech has emphasized on the love and respect for the motherland
and role of the education in the development of the Nation.
A Prize distribution ceremony was organized in which winners of
interschool school dance competition were awarded. Shri Shiji Chacko, G.C.
Member HEMA Education Society along with other dignitaries presented the award
to the students.
Sanskrit week was observed in HEMA School from 8th August to
15th August in which several competitions were held and students came
out with flying colours. These students were also awarded medals and
certificates as a token of motivation.
No programme is complete without proposing vote of thanks as gratitude is
a powerful catalyst for happiness. It’s the spark that lights a fire of joy in
one’s soul. So to kindle that joy, Head Boy of the school Robin Sharma proposed
the vote of thanks.
The programme was graced by Shri Philip Panicker, President HEMA
Education Society. Shri Kishore Pillai, Secretary, Shri Sajit Nair,
Vice-President, Shri Ajit Kumar, Treasurer, Shri Shiji Chacko, G. C. Member, teachers,
.Parents and students witnessed the celebration.
The sword of revolution is sharpened on the whetting stone of ideas and
this beautiful day of glorious 75th year of Independence came to a closure with
the rendition of Vande Mataram song followed by sweet distribution.
May this light of freedom shine forever.
