The sun which rose on 15th August 1947, had brought a unique brightness to eliminate the long darkness of British Rule. With zest and a feeling of patriotism, Hema H.S School, Bhopal celebrated 75th Independence Day On this auspicious occasion President of Hema Education Society Mr Philip Panicker, Secretary, Mr A. Shashi Kumar and Vice President Mr Ashok Pillai, Principal, Ms Poonam Sharma, Vice Principal, Pamela Abraham, Head Mistress, Ms Peyali Sinha ,teachers, students and non – teaching staff was also present. 

The school band welcomed all the distinguished guests followed by a flag hoisting by Mr Philip Panicker.  On this occasion Secretary A. Shashi  Kumar expressed his views, he appealed the audience that everybody should contribute in the nation’s growth and development. Principal, Ms Poonam Sharma also addressed the audience; she gave emphasis on Skill development and to become  self independent which will  play a vital role in the development of the country. 

Students sang patriotic songs and Sanskrit teacher Mr Amit Rajoria also sang a beautiful song in Sanskrit. Head Boy Prabal Sharma proposed a Vote of Thanks. The event ended with  National song followed by sweet distribution.
