INVESTITURE CEREMONY IN HEMA HIGHER SECONDARY SCHOOL

As the saying goes “A leader is one who knows the way goes the way and shows the way HEMA Hr. Sec. School in it’s path to inculcate leadership qualities among it’s students has organised this year’s investiture ceremony on 14th August 2021.

A virtual affair it was a proud moment for the students and their parents who were inducted in the newly installed school cabinet.

The ceremony commenced with the lighting of the ceremonial lamp by the dignitaries followed by invoking of divine blessings through prayer. The school Principal Ms. Poonam Sharma welcomed the dignitaries and motivated the students to develop leadership qualities for the success in their future endevours. She also emphasized to inculcate values, to be inclusive and emphatic towards one another and to stay true to themselves. 

The programme was graced by Mr. Philip Panicker President, HEMA Education Society, Mr. A. Shashi Kumar Secretary, Mr. Kishore Pillai Vice-President, Principal Ms. Poonam Sharma, Vice Principal Ms. Pamela Abraham, Head Mistress Ms. Peyali Sinha, Coordinator Ms. Geetha Suresh. 

A solemn oath taking ceremony was observed and the new leaders were given the oath of office who pledged their devotion and alliance to maintain and keep up the school motto, morals, ethics and set a good example of a good leader.

Leadership is about vision and responsibility not power, keeping this in mind our visionaries of the 2021-22 cabinet are:

Head Boy: Prabal Sharma

Head Girl: Privanshi Saxena

Astt. Head Boy: Lavish Verma

Astt. Head Girl:  Sargam Niborya

Student Editor: Dhruv Tiwari, Anshul Yadav, Sanjana Singh, Utkarsha Kalamkar,

Cultural Minister: G. Krishi, Astha Agrawal, Aishwarya Shrivastava, Muskan Gond.

Shri Philip Panicker emphasized on the role of leadership - Self leadership, Self awareness, Self reflection and Self regulation. He also asked the office bearers to set an example and to practice what they preach.

A small cultural programme was also showcased to glitter the occasion. The programme came to an end by proposing of vote of thanks by the Head Boy & Head Girl followed by the singing of national anthem.
