“To care for those who once cared for us is one of the highest honors.”
In a heartwarming event, 27 students from HEMA Higher Secondary School visited Yashoda Old Age Home, established in 2009, where 16 women, 8 men, and 5 supportive staff reside. All residents are above 60 years old and hail from different states across India. The event was organized by HelpAge India, with Anuradha Mishra, Coordinator of HelpAge India, gracing the occasion.
The students actively participated in the Rakhi celebration, distributing breakfast and sweets to the residents. They then tied rakhis on their wrists, symbolizing the bond of protection and care. The students also presented melodious songs and engaged in heartfelt conversations with each resident, creating a warm and joyful atmosphere.
The residents and staff deeply appreciated the students' gestures, which brought smiles to everyone present.
