Keep children innocent – today, tomorrow, forever.
A child always teaches an adult three things: to be happy for no reason, to be always busy with something and know how to demand with all his might what you want.
The smiling faces, adorned in colourful dresses set the mood to celebrate Children’s Day in HEMA Higher Secondary School on 8 Nov. 2023.
The programme began with the lamp lighting by the Head Boy & Head Girl along with the prayer hymn. The stage was ablaze by a Kathak & Bharatnatyam fusion dance. The teachers choirs' melodious medley compelled the students to enjoy with their hands high and the rhythm encapsulated their minds. A narration of the story of rabbit & the tortoise highlighting the rabbits perspective & learning from his mistakes motivated the learners & also gave them a different approach to the story.
The kindergarten teachers set the mood for this celebration of childhood by their prolific ‘Act on Emotions’. A yet another dance by the teachers all decked up in their lehenga on gujrati dance numbers made the day memorable for their lovely students. The Music Department mentors began their performance by the epic song ‘Dil Chahta hai’ which truly made the young ones feel that this celebration doesn’t come an end. The address by the Principal, Ms. Poonam Sharma giving the message to handle distractions and stress was illuminating.
In the words of Chacha Nehru:
“Children are like buds in a garden and should be carefully and lovingly nurtured, as they are the future of the nation and the citizens of tomorrow.” HEMA Higher Secondary School wishes all the children a very Happy Children’s Day.
