Makar Sankranti, Pongal, Baisakhi are  Hindu festivals celebrated all over India on the 14th of January every year. The kindergarten students celebrated the festival on 13th of January in the school premises. The day marks  the end of the month with the winter solstice and the start of longer days. 

The students came to school dressed up in traditional attire representing different states celebrating this festival. The importance of this festival, about how the farmers worship Sun as their God and thank  God for good crop. The festival mood was enhanced  by singing, dancing and doing several art and craft activities in the classroom. The children of nursery and KG made kites and greeting cards.
