HEMA Higher Secondary School celebrated International English Day on the 23rd of April 2022 which is traditionally observed as the birth and death anniversary of William Shakespeare. The celebration aimed to entertain as well as inform, with the goal of increasing awareness and respect for the history and culture of the English Language and the achievements of the innumerable writers, poets and playwrights.
There were many activities, throughout the day, designed for various grades, which were educative as well as interesting. Various activities like Spelling ladder, Scramble words, Vocabulary building, Pictorial Idioms, Expression of emotions, Poem recitation and Book mark making competition were conducted by the English Teachers.
Along with the activities a small cultural program was also presented, which included a contemporary dance and a song . Then a drama was also staged on 'Julius Caesar' by the students in the honor of William Shakespeare.
Students participated with zeal and enthusiasm in each and every activity. It was a perfect occasion for the students to get relaxed, just before the Summer Vacations. They enjoyed all the games and went home with a smiling and happy face.
It was an immensely an eventful day.
